You Revive Me

I want to share this song with you today. I've needed some major encouragement this week and every time I listen to this song, I tear up. God is our only true hope; He can revive the brokenhearted.

"You Revive Me"
by the Christy Nockels and the Passion Worship Band

Chorus:
You revive me
You revive me Lord
And all my deserts are rivers of joy
You are the treasure I could not afford
So I'll spend myself till I'm empty and poor
All for You
You revive me Lord

Verse 1:
Lord I have seen Your goodness
And I know the way You are
Give me eyes to see You in the dark
And Your face shines a glory
That I only know in part
And there is still a longing
A longing in my heart

Chorus:
You revive me
You revive me Lord
And all my deserts are rivers of joy
You are the treasure I could not afford
So I'll spend myself till I'm empty and poor
All for You
You revive me Lord

Verse 2:
My soul is thirsty
Only You can satisfy
You are the well that never will run dry
And i'll praise You for the blessing
For calling me Your friend
And in Your name I'm lifting
I'm lifting up my hands

Bridge:
I'm alive
I'm alive
You breathe on me
You revive me

I hope this song touches you heart. Blessings friends. :)

Update

{At Kristin and James' wedding this past weekend}

1) The summer is officially over for Luke, which means it is now retreat season at Zephyr (yay!).

2) I have been incredibly busy at work, which is probably the main reason I've been ignoring the blog. I'm seriously so bummed about this, but the last thing I've wanted to do in the evenings lately is stare at my computer. My. Brain. Is. Fried.

3) I am taking 2 continuing education classes through Del Mar College. They are 8-week long classes that I am doing completely online and I'm loving them! One is for Adobe Acrobat and the other is for Adobe InDesign. The nerd in me is loving this!

4) Last weekend, Luke and I went to Waco for a wedding for my college roomate, Kristin. I would love to devote an entire blog post to this, but we're going to have to wait on that one. It was a gorgeous wedding and fabulous weekend with friends! Love.

5) Luke and I are incredibly stressed and we covet your prayers. Sometimes life just feels like the heaviest burden one can bare, yes? We're feeling some strain around the whole big-decision-making part of life. Please say a prayer for us? We'd greatly appreciate it. :)

{Loved being with these girls last weekend. Will post about it soon!}

Playing Catch-Up

Wow, it feels like forever since I last blogged! Sorry for my absence. When life starts to get a little hectic/stressful, I tend to steer clear of the ol' blog. I think it's partially because I don't want to word vomit all over the web about my stresses or frustrations, and partially because blogging can then become a stress and I never want this to happen! But life is beginning to calm down a little bit, so I thought it may be nice to come out of hiding.

Hi. How are ya? :)

Here's a little of what the Hinton's (mostly I) have been up to lately...

{The back-to-school section at Target lured me in. I wish I could go back to school!}

{I made these with a friend a couple of weeks ago. They tasted SO good, but my workouts are paying for it for sure}

{Luke and I went for a walk around the lake the other day. The water is super low, but I still think it's beautiful}

{The pups love to be where their daddy is!}

{My house party dress for Kristin's wedding came in the mail. I love ASOS!!}

{I met Bill Rancic at a fundraising luncheon last week. He is super foxy in person! Don't worry--we caught up on the baby's arrival (30-day window!) and Giuliana's time at the Olympics. We're pretty tight now. ;)}

{I FINALLY got my hair did. It was lookin' a little rough}

{I spent a few days in San Antonio with the girls this past weekend. No worries, there will be a separate post about the fun times had}

{I received my Birchbox invite yesterday. I can't wait to get my first box in late August!!}

I should be around a little more often now. Hope all of you are doing well! :)
