He's Not Perfect

I just had to steal this! My sweet friend, Tamara, posted this quote on her blog this morning and I couldn't help but smile while reading it. If you haven't visited Tamara's blog, you definitely should! She lives in Portland with her soon-to-be-hubby (literally, like a week) and their two pups and blogs about all of their adventures in the gorgeous city of Portland.

I love this quote because it is so true. Luke and I aren't perfect by a long shot, but we're perfect for each other and I love that. This weekend we were talking about how different life would be today had we taken different paths out of high school or college. I told Luke that it made me sad to think that we may not have found each other and he told me, "I would have found you." *Gush!* Every once in a while, that boy gets sappy. :)

But I believe this to be true as well. As Phoebe says about Ross and Rachel, "See! He's her lobster!"

  2. LOVE this! My husband and I are always mentioning how appreciative we are that we crossed the same paths, at the same times in our life .. leading us to a beautiful future - together. It's truly an amazing thing, huh? :)

  3. Aw this is so nice! i think we forget way too often that men are different than us and that they're not always gonna do what we want them to do just when we want it. those words are a great way to be more appreciative :) thanks for sharing!

Marriage can be challenging and a little overwhelming if we loose sight of little things like this :)

    Have a good week dear,

  6. Aw, I love this! :) A great reminder too, I must add. Most often, we're so caught up trying to find perfection in a guy while almost always forgetting that we aren't perfect ourselves. I love this. :)

    And thanks for sharing! xx

  8. Such a good quote! My friend wrote a song for our wedding and the words were "It's doesn't have to be so perfect, if I can be just me, and you can be just you and we will be".

  10. I just found your blog through Krystina's blog, Cup'a Hot Chocolate. I'm soo glad that I did! I just read your love story and watched your wedding video (I am such a sucker for romance!) Your wedding was absolutely beautifullll. It is so nice to know that you and your husband worked through the long distance. My boyfriend and I are long distance right now and most of the time it is so hard! I can't wait to read more of your blog. :)
