Christmas.

I have laid around almost all day and it has been positively wonderful! I can't remember the last time I was able to do such a thing. I keep thinking about what a blessed Christmas and 2011 Luke and I have had. I hope you all had a very merry holiday weekend and that you took a moment to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas.

"The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth." John 1:14

On Friday night, Luke and I hosted our very first party in the new house! This was also the first time we have been able to host a family event. We had a great time hanging out with the Hinton side of the family, eating a fabulous Mexican meal (fajitas, guacamole, and tortillas, oh my!), and Santa even stopped by for a bit. :)

We had a blessed weekend filled with family, food, and cuddly puppies! We changed up our normal holiday routine and did not attend the Christmas eve service in Beeville this year. Instead, we spent both eve and day in Hallettsville with my parents and sisters. We also opened gifts on Christmas eve instead of morning. This is WAY against tradition in my family! But some traditions just cannot be messed with, like Christmas PJs handed out on Christmas eve and mom's amazing Christmas breakfast!

This was Bentley's first Christmas and Brooklyn's second. These puppies had the best time playing with their cousin dogs in Hallettsville and eating the crumbs dropped from Christmas breakfast!

The Hintons had a wonderful first married Christmas! We hope you also had a relaxing and memorable time with family and friends!
