Fad Diet #497

Hello, my name is Sara and I have started a fad diet.
Yes, another one.
There is a good chance that it will be over in 3 to 4 days.
But wish me luck, nonetheless.

Please note all of the fruits and veggies I bought tonight. And yes, I'm allowed to have small amounts of coffee creamer and low-fat ranch dressing.
Doesn't sound too bad, huh? I'll let you know. I start tomorrow!

Disclaimer: I'm not the biggest fan of fad diets, but every once in a while I do something random like this. Just humor me. :)

  4. Best Diet...become a label reader looking at the ingredients. The very worst item you can ingest is fructose corn syrup! Usually put in place of sugar because it is cheaper and most think sugar is bad news. Fructose corn syrup is worse than sugar. Your body has to work harder to turn it into sugar your body can use...so your body stores it as fat. Example: look at your creamer ingredients...better off buying half-and-half...better for you and often as inexpensive as creamer...and don't buy the "low fat" half-and-half...guess what...it contains fructose corn syrup. Most fruits have it also...but if the fruit contains a lot of fiber...the body turns it into sugar more slowly and the body has a chance to burn the sugar for energy rather than storing it as fat. Fat of the right kind is not bad for your body...in fact it needs some in its food supply. Watch canned veggies...often have...you guessed it...fructose corn syrup! Eat at least 60% of your veggies raw. Cooking often destroys a lot of the vitamins and minerals your body could otherwise use. I used to be a type 2 diabetic...started eating the right foods July 1st...my blood sugar is now normal and I no longer take medicine to control my blood sugar. I don't really diet...that is, reducing how much I eat...but rather am selective in what I eat. It really works but you have to become a label reader in the grocery store. Love Papaw
